So, to show our appreciation for the help our JTEs gave us when we first arrived, almost all the JETs employed by my BOE got together and took our JTEs out for a night on the town. In Japan, that means we took them to the local izakaya (aka. a Japanese style bar) for a mini enkai (aka. work party). There was eating, and drinking, and ordering of giant, tasty, parfaits, and then finally the awkward, we're going to pay for the bill, not you, moment. Overall, a night well spent. It's sorta fun to hang out with the JTEs. Hopefully another night like this will happen again soon. And, yes, I took several pictures of the parfait. I mean, look at it! It's giant!
