From the station near my house, you can see this giant bowling pin on a pole in what is essentially the middle of nowhere. So, a group of us decided we should try out bowling in Japan. Was pretty much the same as bowling in American, just more kanji. The only downside was that there was no food or alcoholic beverages at the alley. Just your run of the mill vending machines. That and it was kind of expensive. But the shoes are way cooler and all the Japanese people were really hard core into their bowling, which was pretty funny to watch. The woman bowling closest to us had on some kind of crazy mechanical arm type glove thing. Don't really know what it was for, but it looked pretty crazy.
